Prints All Letters of the Alphabet
Letters must be formed correctly and touch the correct lines to earn this badge. Letters NEVER start on the bottom (baseline). All uppercase letters start on or near the top line, and almost all lowercase letters start on or near the middle line (except the tall lowercase letters, which start on the top line).

Writes Complete Sentence
To earn this badge, your child must write a complete sentence correctly. This included a capital letter, spaces between words, punctuation, and all CVC and sight words spelled correctly. Other words must be spelled phonetically correct (for example, backpack can be spelled bakpak or bacpac because we haven't learned the "ck" pattern).

Decodes and Blends Words
To earn this badge, your child must correctly read CVC (like bat, met, pig, top, hug) words containing all short vowel sounds.
Download these flashcards with CVC words and matching pictures.
Practice reading CVC words fluently with word lists, sentences, and a simple story.

Letter Sounds (Set 1)
Letter sounds are trickier than you think! Your child must say the sound correctly without tacking on any other sounds. For example, the letter Pp has a very short sound. Many mistakenly say "puh", which is actually the sound made when you combine a P and a U.
This badge includes the sounds for Mm, Ss, Aa, Tt, Cc, Pp.
